The Measurement of the Resilience of High-tech Manufacturing Industry Chain and Regional Differences in China

Abstract: Enhancing the resilience of the high-tech manufacturing industry chain is significant in building a manufacturing powerhouse and promoting high-quality economic development.To quantitatively study the resilience of high-tech manufacturing industry chain,a comprehensive evaluation index system is constructed from the four dimensions of resistance,recovery,reorganization,and renewal,the resilience of China high-tech manufacturing industry chain is measured from 2OO8 to 2O22,and regional diffrences and dynamic evolution of high-tech manufacturing industry chain in China and three major regions are analyzed byusing Dagum Gini coeficient and Kernel density estimation.The results show that: China high-tech manufacturing industry chain resilience level is generally on the rise,but the overall level ison the low side;The relative difference of high-tech industrial chain resilience level across thecountry and in the three regions is relatively stable,buttheabsolute diffrence is still expanding;the high-tech industrial chain resilience level in the eastern region is significantly higher than that in the central and western regions,and inter-regional differences are the main reasons leading to the imbalanced distribution of the high-tech industrial chain resilience,and the intra-regional disparity and hypervariable density contribute less to it.Enhancing the resilience of the high-tech manufacturing industry chain requires improving the original innovation capacity, promoting digital transformation,and realizing coordinated regional development.
