Degradation of Rhodamine B by Urea Hydrogen Peroxide Catalyzed with Iron-nitrogen Co-doped Biochar

XU Xiao-dong', LI Yu -pingl,LIU Lu1 , ZHANG Yue-mei',DONG Jing1*,LI Li²* 1.CollegeofhemistryandaterialScience/ShandongAgriculturalUniversityTai'an2718,China 2.Shandong5thGeo-mineralProspectingInstitute,Tai'an271018,China Abstract: Rhodamine B(RhB)exhibitscarcinogenic,teratogenic,and mutagenic effects,posing significant hreats tohuman health and theenvironment.This study prepares iron-nitrogen co-doped biochar (Fe-N-C)through aone-pot method using pomelo peel as the carbon source,urea as the nitrogen precursor,and ferric chloride hexahydrate (FeCl3⋅6H2O) as the iron source.SEM,FT-IR,XRD,XPS,andBET techniques indicate thatFeand are uniformly dispersed on the biochar surface, with a specific surface area reaching 79.89m2/g .Under optimal conditions 50mg/L RhB, 100mg/L catalyst, 50mg/L UHP, 20∘C , pH=6 ),thedegradationrateofRhB reaches 99.31% within 30min when using Fe-N-C asa catalyst for RhB degradation in water.This provides asolution for rapid the rapid treatment oforganic dyes in wastewater.
