Remaining Strength Prediction of X8o Oil and Gas Pipeline with Complex Corrosion Defects

Abstract: To improve the prediction accuracyof remaining strength of X8O oiland gas gathering pipeline with complex corrosion defects,the finite element analysis method was used to study the influence of depth ratio.Then, the grey relational analysis (GRA)was used to analyze the influence degree of corrosion depth,corrosion diameter and offset on the remaining strength of pipeline,and the PSO-BP algorithm was based to build aremaining strength prediction model to predict the remaining strength of oil and gas pipelines with complex corrosion defects.The study results show that the maximum equivalent stress of oil and gas pipelines with complex corrosion defects is located atthe center of deep corrosion,and the circumferential stressdecreases faster than the axial stress.The maximum error between the calculated remaining strength of the pipeline with complex corrosion defects and the standard is 7.6% ,verifying the reliability of the simulation results. The influence degree of each factor on the remaining strength is as follows : deep corrosion depth > shallow corrosion depth > deep corrosion diameter > shallow corrosion diameter > axial offset > radial offset.Compared with the BP model,the maximum error of the remaining strength prediction of the PSO-BP model is reduced by 16.51% ,and the total sample fitting rate comes to 99. 82% . The study results provide reference for the formulation of oil and gas pipeline maintenance strategy.
