Chinesization and reliability validity test of Symptom⁃Focused Quality of Life Questionnaire for Gastric Cancer Patients after Gastrectomy

Abstract  Objective：To translate the Symptom⁃Focused Quality of Life Questionnaire for Gastric Cancer Patients after Gastrectomy （KOQUSS⁃40） and test its reliability and validity.Methods：After Brislin translation mode， translation， expert evaluation and pre⁃investigation， 208 patients of gastric cancer in the gastric oncology department of a tertiary Grade A hospital in Tianjin were selected to evaluate the reliability and validity of the scale.Results：The Chinese version of KOQUSS⁃40 included 35 items， with content validity index of 0.90 and content validity index at entry level of 0.82～1.00.11 common factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis，the cumulative variance contribution of 68.776%.Cronbach's α coefficient of scale was 0.855， and half reliability was 0.855.Conclusion：The Chinese version of KOQUSS⁃40 has good reliability and validity， and can be used as a measurement tool to assess the postoperative symptom⁃focused quality of life of gastric cancer patients in China.
