Evidence summary on oral feeding promotion of preterm infants

Abstract  Objective：To comprehensively retrieve and summarize the best evidences on oral feeding promotion of preterm infants.Methods：China and foreign databases and official websites were retrieved.The retrieval time was from the inception to July 30，2022.The quality of included literature was evaluated and evidence from the literature was extracted.Results：A total of 9 articles were included，with 2 guidelines，1 clinical decision，5 systematic reviews，and 1 expert consensus.The final evidence summary on oral feeding promotion of preterm infants was formed，including 6 aspects（pre⁃feeding evaluation，feeding timing，feeding  tool selection，feeding  process management，intervention measures for promoting oral feeding，and feeding in special circumstances） with 24 pieces of evidence.Conclusions：The evidence summary on oral feeding promotion of preterm infants can provide evidence-based evidence for clinical practice for medical staff to help premature infants achieve full oral feeding as soon as possible.
