Research Progresson the Value and the Utilization of Pomegranates

Abstract：Pomegranate is a plant with edible，medicinal，and ornamental values.Thisarticle comprehensively reviewed the nutritional value，medicinal value，and ornamental value of pomegranates.Pomegranates were rich in various nutrients such as water，carbohydrates，vitamins，and minerals.Its medicinal value was extensive， showing significant efects in the prevention and treatment of various diseases including infectious diseases， cardiovascular diseases，and tumors.It also had outstanding ornamental value.Its leaves，flowers，fruits，and branches were ornamental throughout the four seasons， making it an excelent tree species for landscaping. At the same time，the current development and utilization of pomegranates in various fields such as fruit juice， beverages，wine，vinegar，tea， seed oil， snack foods，pharmaceuticals，cosmetics，and landscaping were introducedindetail，to providea comprehensive reference for in-depth research and more ffcient development and utilization of pomegranates.

石榴（PunicagranatumL.），又名安石榴、丹若、天浆等，为石榴科石榴属，在温带为落叶小乔木或灌木，在热带则为常绿树。（剩余8734字）
