Evaluation of Growth Adaptability of Celery Based on Principal Component Analysis and Cluster Analysis

Abstract:Toaccurately identifyand select superior celery varietiessuitableforcultivation in Dingxi city,this paper comprehensively evaluated 2O introduced varieties based on six indicators using principal component analysisand cluster analysis methods.Theresults showed that through thequantitative function model of two principal component factors constructedby principal component analysis,the varieties‘Curacao’‘French

Gren Sword’‘Venus’‘King Celery’,and‘American King’had the highest comprehensive trait scores.By using the heat map cluster dendrogram to systematically classifydiffrentcelery varieties,the2O varieties were clustered into three major categories based on six trait indicators.Among them,the varieties‘Curacao’, ‘French Green Sword',and‘Venus’were clustered into one category,characterized by large single fruit weight,high yield,excellnt quality,and good comprehensive traits.Thisresult was basically consistent with thefieldgrowth situation,indicating the high reliability of the comprehensiveevaluation results.The comprehensive analysis indicated that the varieties‘Curacao’‘French Green Sword’,and‘Venus’ were suitable for cultivation in Dingxi cityand were varieties with market potential that were suitable for promotion.
