Science Fiction Novel Publishing in China ∵ Development Process，Problem and Suggestion

[Abstract] Based on the historical periods of“from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China，the early days after the founding of the People’s Republic of China，since the reform and opening-up，and from 2010 to the present”，the study reviews development process of science fiction novel publishing in China，and holds that there are mainly the following problems right now.It israther dificult to cultivate science fiction talents，and the numberof writers with high market appeal remains limited; the publishing model and marketing model stil need to be furtherexpanded and diversified;there are limitations in the expansion of IP based on science fiction content. Subsequently，countermeasures and suggestions are put forward from aspects suchas establishinga relatively complete mechanism for cultivating science fiction talents， establishing characteristic science fiction publishing modelsand utilizing emerging technological means to expand book marketing models，and publishing institutions should play an active role in constructing the science fiction industry ecosystemand building copyright ecosystem.
