[Abstract]Guided by situated cognition theory，this paper analyzes the contextualized pathways of digital reading cognition：socio-historical-cultural contexts，digital technological contexts，and bodilyexperiential contexts.Based on the contextual characteristics of these three pathways： embeddedness，virtuality，and embodiment—an evolutionary mechanism for the interaction between digital reading cognition and specific contexts is proposed from the perspectives of social cognition，technological tools，and bodily experience.The embeddedness of socio-historicalcultural contexts provides a foundational force that shapes digital reading cognition; the virtuality of digital technological contexts drives the development of digital reading cognition;the embodiment of reading experience contexts illustrates the adaptation of digital reading cognition.Finally， grounded incognitive agency，apractical pathway for digital reading cognition to construct reading contexts is outlined.Embeddedness highlights the holistic construction of reading cognition toward digital reading infrastructure；virtuality facilitates the creative productionand internalization of digital content by reading cognition;embodiment reinforces the preference of reading cognition forirrational factorssuchas interest，imagination，and insight.
