Abstract:In this study,two oat varieties with different lodging resistance were taken as materials,the regulation of lignin biosynthesis on oat stem strength was investigated by analyzing the differences of stem strength traits and lignin synthesis-related gene expression levels,which provided references for genetic improvement of oat stem strength and lodging resistance breeding.The results showed as follows:there were significant differences .-0.05 ) in stem strength related traits among different lodging resistant varieties,and there was a significant positive correlation ( P<0.01 )between stem strength and lignin content of the basal second internode, and the lignin content of the basal second internode of lodging resistant varieties was significantly higher ( P< O.05) than lodging senstive varieties.The expression levels of the relate enzyme genes of 9 lignin synthesis pathways were observed in filling stage < dough stage < milking stage,and lodging sensitive varieties
