Abstract:Renal ischemia-reperfusion injury(IRI) is the maincause of acute kidneyinjury(AKI),oftenoccurringduring critical surgeries such as transplantation,largevessel surgery,liversurgery,and heart surgery.Inrecent years,many studieshavefoundthatinhalationanestheticscanallviaterenalIRIandmayhavegoodprospectsforperioperative protectionofrenalfunction.The protectiveefectof inhalation anestheticson the kidneys mayberelatedtothe timing, concentration,andtimewindowof treatment.Antioxidative,anti-inflammatoryandanti-apoptoticefectsbyactivating multiple signaling pathways inthe kidney,regulating gene expressionand immunoregulation may be the main mechanism bywhichinhalationanestheticsimproverenal IRI.Thisarticleprovidesareviewofexperimentalandclinical studieson theuseof inhalationanesthetics toaleviaterenal IRIandprotectrenal function,aswell astheirmechanismsof action, based onrecent domesticand international research literature.The aim is to provide reference for perioperative renal function protection.
