Development and Validation of the BAPS Program for Calculating the Flexural Capacity of Arbitrary Polygon - shaped Cross - sections

【Abstract】 ∵ Aiming of verify challenges of the flexural capacity of complex cross -sections，this paper commences from the fundamental principles ofcalculating the load-bearing capacity offlexural members，and then puts forward a universal formula.An Excel VBA-based checking program，BAPS，is developed accordingly.BAPS is applied to check common members，and its results are compared with those of popular commercial software，which validates the accuracy of the BAPS program.

规范对受弯构件的验算按照矩形、T形给出，若需验算复杂截面，需先等效为矩形、T形截面再验算，较为不便，简化过程也较粗疏，采用不同软件相互校核，不能严格确定理论承载能力；最小配筋率的规定对带底缘的截面较宽松；双筋截面验算中受压区等效高度较小时的处理不够细致。（剩余3251字）
