Abstract： Historical thinking takes Marxism as the foundation of its worldview and methodology， systematically examines the inherent laws of historical facts，achieves the dialectical unity of the past， present and future，and thereby guides practice.As one of the core thinking abilities for governing the country in the new era， General Secretary Xi Jinping has incorporated it into the six essential thinking paradigms for leading cadres.This article systematically explains the scientific connotation of Xi Jinping's historical thinking from four dimensions： theoretical origins，content structure，contemporary values，and practical paths. Firstly， it takes the Marxist view of history as its theoretical foundation and integrates the dialectical materialist methodology. Secondly，it emphasizes the establishment of a broad historical perspective and a correct view of the history of the Communist Party of China to build a historical cognitive framework that connects the past and the present. Thirdly， its practical significance is reflected in enhancing historical awareness，grasping the general trend of history，and strengthening historical responsibility.Fourthly，atthe practical level， it is required to enhance the systematicity，foresight，and innovation of work with a proactive historical spirit.This research holds significant guiding value for applying historical thinking to promote the great cause of national rejuvenation.The study has
