Abstract:Thenovel Manby Vietnamese-born Canadian author Kim Thuy,depicts thecirculationand transplantation of Vietnamese tastememories across multiple transnational spaces,creating a shared embodied resonance thatweavesaglobal networkof interactions.Theprotagonist,Man,situated inadiasporiccontext,employs Viet namese food,taste experiences,and culinary skils toconnect with local emotions and memoriesof herhomeland. This processhelps herforge local identitiesand build interpersonal connections,ultimately creating anethniccuisine community.By narrating cross $\ulcorner$ ethnic taste practices set inParis,the authoraims to evoke an embodied,inclusive,and shared cross $\ulcorner$ ethnic perspective,fostering global interconnectedness.Additionally,the novel explores nationalized strategies for addressing ethical crises and identity dilemmas within a cross $\ulcorner$ ethnic context.
