Abstract:Inorder to enhance the process eficiency of metallurgical microbial oxidationof pyrite,this experiment designed and constructedan external electric field microbial electroreactor system,and studied the process characteristicsofpyritebiooxidationbyAcidithiobacillus ferrooxidansunderexteral electricfieldconditions.Itmainlyincludes ironoxidation efficiency,structure and biomass of microbial biofilm,secretionand compositionof extracelular polymers,and related electrochemical properties.The results showthat under the actionof asuitable external electric field,theironoxidationabilityofthebacteria isslightlyenhanced,andthepyriteoxidationamountincreases by 21.3%;the biofilm structure onthe surface of pyrite is more compact,the biomass increases significantly,and the total bacterial volume increases by O.9 times compared with the control group.During the biooxidation process,, the current of the pyrite biooxidationsystem gradually increases,andthe processresistance gradually decreases.The research results propose an effective means to increase the biomassof metallurgical microrganisms, which will provide certain support for the development of industrialized bioleaching technology.
