Abstract:Afiniteelementanalysiscombiningstaticanddynamicapproaches isanimportantpartof theschemedesignforfshore instalationandcostructionofintealtuetsinglpintmoingbuos.WithnintealturrtsingleontmoingbuoyofPayu Oilfield inthe South China Seaasaresearchoject,theOrcaFlexsoftwarewasemployed tosimulatethewholeprocessoffshore installtionofthebuoy.Byanalyzingtheliftingofthesingle-pointbuoythroughthesplashzone,themaximumalowableoperation windowwasobtained.Throughstabilityasessmentofthesingle-pointbuoyfrelyfloatingonthewatersurface,thesignificantwave heightlimitforpersonnelworkingontetopofthebuoyasdesigned,andthedesignofclumpweightsforstabilitycontrolandtheir connectinglockingdeviceswasverifiedtobereasonableandfeasible.Thesinkinganalysisof thesingle-pointbuoyindicatedthatthe designofclumpweightsforsinkingandtheirconmectinglockingdevics asrationalandfeasible.Thehook-upprocessanalysisofthe mooringlegshowedthatafterthelegwashookedup,approximatelyhalfoftheloadontheriggingwastransferrdtotheleg.Thehookupprocessanalysisofdynamiccablesrevealedthat tesingle-pointbuoysankbyapproximately10metersfollwingthecablehookup. Theabove-mentionedsimulationanalysesshowthattheweightoftwoclumpweightsandthelengthofconectinglockingdevicessuit therequirementsforonstruction.Tepropoedlimitsforfsoreistalltionaresuitablefortemaximumallowableoperationwindow, and the designed scheme for offshore installation and construction is feasible and safe.
