Abstract：Based on thecolateral disease theory，the pathogenesis of limb numbnessafter stroke is as follows： Aftera stroke，pathological products such as phlegm，fire，stasis，and toxin accumulate inthecollaterals，affecting thecirculationofqiandbloodincollateralsatalllevels.This leadstoobstructionofcollateralsorinsuffcient nourishmentofcollaterals，which blocksthe transportationofqiand blood fromthebrain tothelimbs，resulting in numbness.Thekeyto treating collteral diseases lies inunblocking thecolaterals.Huang DiNei Jing（The Yellow Emperor's Inner Clasic）proposesaspecific method forunblocking collaterals，namely the contralateral puncture methodcombinedwithcolateral punctureand bloodletting.Thisarticle elaboratesonthe theoreticalbasisand clinical applicationofcollateral point contralateral punctureandbloodleting in the treatmentoflimb numbness after stroke， aiming to provide ideas for the treatment of this disease.
