Upconversion Luminescence Properties in LaScO3 : Yb³/Er Along with ItsOptical ThermometryPerformance

Abstract:Non-contact optical thermometers based on fluorescence intensity ratio (FIR)technology with high accuracy,stabilityand sensitivity have becomearesearch hotspot in recent years.In this paper,the oxide material LaSc(204号 03 with low phonon energy and stable physical and chemical properties is selected as the matrix for Yb3+ and Er3+ doping through a high-temperature solid-phase method.Thedata show that accurate optical temperature measurement performance can be achieved from the thermal coupling energy level of Ers+ 2H11/2/4S3/2 .Itsbest values of absolute sensitivity,relative sensitivity and resolution of this optical thermometer can reach 0.84%⋅K-1,1.17%⋅K-1 and 0.12K respectively,which is better than the corresponding values of most thermometers with the same type.Moreover,thesample exhibits excellent repeatabilityforoptical sensing in the temperature range of 298-573K.In adition,the energy transfer mechanisms in LaScO3: Yb3+/Er3+ is discussed in detail.All the results reveal that LaScO3: Er3+/Yb3+ is ahigh-sensitive optical thermometer.
