Sensorless PMSM control based on enhanced super-twisting sliding-mode observer

Abstract: To mitigate chattering-induced observation inaccuracy in the super-twisting sliding-mode observer(STSMO),a super-twisting algorithm with linear terms observer (STLT) is proposed. The observed back electromotive force is filtered through a complex coeffcient filter(CCF),processed byan enhanced quadrature phase-locked loop(PLL)to derive rotor position and speed.An improved exponential reaching lawbased speed control strategy accelerates convergence whilesuppressing chatering.Simulations demonstrate that the CCF + STLT observer reduces steady-state speed estimation error to 2.2r/min and limits rotor angle error within O.O2 rad,enhancing sensorless control precision for permanent magnet synchronous motors.The improved sliding mode controller(SMC)shortens speed regulation time during startup and transients without observable chattering. The enhanced PLL resolves position estimation inaccuracies during motor reversal encountered by conventional PLLs.
