Abstract: To mitigate voltage and stator current errrs induced by dead-time in model predictive control, an optimized model predictive current control (MPCC)method based on the dead-time voltage vector (DTVVMPCC)was proposed for permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM).Firstly,the impact of dead-time on MPCC and the formation mechanism of dead-time voltage vector(DTVV)were analyzed. Secondly, DTVV was categorized into beneficial and non-beneficial types according to its effcts on MPCC performance,with the advantages of beneficial DTVVelucidated.Finally,dead-time duration was optimized. Simulation results demonstrated DTVV-MPCC’s superior current control performance over conventional MPCC.
