Mediating effect of symptom management self-effcacy between social network and symptom distress in patients with CHF

【Abstract】ObjectiveTexploeteedatigeectofsmptommanagementself-icacyeteensocialetwokandsmptore inpatientsihhoiceartfure（CH），sostoprovideasentifcasisforforulatinfectieintervetionmeasursds questionnaire surveywasconductedon173CHFpatientsadmitedfromOctober2O23 to March2024byusinggeneralinformationsurvey， theLubbeSocialNetworkScale（LSNS-6），theSymptomManagementSelf-EficacyScale，andtheHartFailureSymptomDistresScale （HFSD）. Results ：The average score of symptom distress in CHF patients was （19.12 ± 11.25），which was negatively correlated with social network score （ r=-0. 194，P<0.05 ）and symptom management self-efficacy score （ r=-0.402，P<0.01， ）.Social network score was positivelycorrelated with symptom management self-efficacy score（ r=0. 335，P< 0.01）.Symptom management self-efficacy of CHF patients had a mediating efect between social network and symptom distress （effect value =-0.2981 95%CI=[-0.4778，-0.1524]. ），accounting for 65.5% of the totalefect.Conclusion：AhighlevelofsymptomdistresswasfoundinCHFpatients.Medicalandnursingstafshould helppatientsstrengtntircialwokpeciallfortosepntswitlwcialetworklevel.ptoanagentsacy is regarded as a key intervention target for alleviating patients‘ symptom distress.
