Abstract:This study interprets Bruce Lee’s“Ontologyof KungFu Mind”through his famous metaphors:“Be water”“Finger pointing the moon”and“Using no wayasway,having nolimitation as limitation”fromtheoutside inandfromtheobvious to the profound.Theresearch argues that Bruce Le's“Ontologyof KungFu Mind”,though inefable,canbe graduallyrevealed throughthreedimensions:theformofthebody,theintentionofthestrike,andtheuseof theontology.The“Bewater”uses theformlessessandshapelessessofwatertosymbolizetheinfiniteposibilitiesof thebodysform.The“Fingerpointing the moon”,metaphorconveysthespatialandtemporal intentionalityofthestrike.The“Using no wayasway,having nolimitation aslimitation”unifiesbodyandmind,enablingthebodytogeneratestrikesspontaneouslyindiferentcombatsituations.This studyprovidesaclasscalparadigmforthemoderdevelopmentof taditionalChinesemartialartstheoryandholdssignificant practicalvaluefornrichingthetechnicalandtheoreticalframeworkofChinesemartialartsandadvancingskilsinmartialarts.
