Abstract： To achieve precise R-wave localization，this paper proposes an R-wave detection algorithm for ECG signals based on variational mode decomposition （VMD） and an adaptive dual threshold. The ECG signal is decomposed into K modal components via VMD.Effective componentsare selected for normalization and squaring，and the R-wave positions are extracted through smoothing filtering combined with anadaptive dual threshold.Simulation results demonstrate that the algorithm achieves high detection performance on 23 ECG signals from the MIT-BIH arrhythmia database.
