Longitudinal Changes and Cumulative Exposure of Metabolic Score for Visceral Fat and Risk of Cardiovascular Disease : A Study from CHARLS Cohort

【Abstract】ObjectieToexploreteasoiationbetweenthelongiudinalchangesandcumulatieexposueoftemetabolicsorefor visceralfat(METS-VF)ndincidentcardiovasculardisease(CVD)anditssubtypes(eartdiseaseandstroke)intheChinesepopulation. MethodsDatawereanalyzedfromtheChinaHealthandRetirementLongitudinal Study.FourMETS-VFcategorieswereidentifiedby K-meansclusteranalysisbasedonmeasurementsin2O11and2O15.CumulativeMETS-VFexposurewascalculated.MultivariateCox regressionaalyssaspefodndotetialofoingfactoserecotolledtvaateteocatioetwe-Fdicidet CVD.Restitedcubicsplineanalysisevauatedhedose-responserelationshipbetweencumulativeMES-VFexposureandincidentCVD risk.Subgroupaalysisanduliablecompetingiskmodelsreusedtoassstebustsofteults.ResutsAtotalof481 participants wereincluded,with6incidentCVcasesobservedfrom2015to2020.ComparedtoClss1(lowestMETS-VF)Class (highest METS-VF)was associated with a 111% increased risk of incident CVD( HR=2 .11,95%CI1.55~2.88),a 77% increased risk of heart disease ( HR=1.77,95%CI 1.22~2.57 ),and a 137% increased risk of stroke( HR=2.37,95%CI1.50~3.74) .Apositive linear corelatinwasfoundbetweecumulativeMETS-VFexposureandCVDrisk.ConcusionSustainedhiglevelsandexcessvecuulative exposureofMES-VFareassiatedithanincreasdiskoficidentCV.DamicoitoingofMES-VFisucialforCVDpevetion and control.
