Research on the Cultural Factors Influencing the Sustainable Development of Offline Folk Reading Clubs

Abstract With the ongoing development ofthe knowledge economyand the widespread adoption oflifelong learning, readingclubs—serving as platforms for knowledge exchange and social interaction—have become increasingly significant.This paper takes oflinefolkreading clubs inWuhanasacasestudyand providesacomprehensiveanalysis of their current development.Through in-depth interviews with keyparticipants andtheapplicationof grounded theory for data collection and analysis,the paper identifies six core cultural factors that shape the sustainable development ofthese clubs:core cultural motivation,cultural operation mechanisms,cultural value systems,community-based cultural exchange,reading culture practices,and the broader socio-cultural environment.Basedon these findings,the paper proposes targeted development strategies to support the long-term vitality of folk reading clubs.
