【AbstractAbnormalglucose metabolismisoneofthecommoncomplicationsofacromegaly.Patientswithacromegalyhaveasignificantlyhigherprevalencerateofabnoalglucose metabolismcomparedwiththenormalpopulation，andthepatients withacomegaly anddiabetesmelitus（DM）havesignificantlyhigherprevalenceratesof tumorandcardiovasculardiseases.Growth hormoneand insulin-likegrowthfactor-havediferentefectsonglucosemetablisminpatientsithacromegalyndurgerisordugs（uchas somatostatinreceptorligands）forthetreatmentofacromegalymaydisturborafectlucosemetabolisminthebodywhichrequiresfur therclarification.Tisarticlereviewstheresearchadvances inthediagnosisandtreatmentofabnoralglucosemetabolisminpatients withacromegalydertodntifytialratmenttategiesndceveeeragementofromealyndeatedabolic complications.
