Abstract: ObjectiveTo analysethe causal relationship betweenobstructive slep apnea (OSA) atrial fibrillation (AF)byMendelianromization(MR)method, toexploretheroleinflammatoryfactors,immunecels,blood metabolitescirculating proteins init.MethodsInthisstudy,MRanalysiswasused toinvestigatethecausal link between OSAAF.Inversevariance weighting(IVW),MR-Egger other methodswereusedforsensitivityanalysis. Additionally,thesdyalsoexploredtheffcts91inflammatoryfactors,71immunecels,40Obloodmetaboits 4 907 circulating proteins on AF.ResultsMR analysis revealed a significant causal relationship between OSA AF 0 OR=1.078 ).Conversely,reverse MR analysisdid not find causal relationship between AF OSA P>0.05 )Furtheranalysis revealedthat5inflammatoryfactors,19immunecels,15bloodmetabolites67circulating proteins were riskfactorsforAF.Amongthem,OSAwastheriskfactorforoneinflammatoryfactor,one bloodmetabolite12circulating proteins.Therewas no significant causal association between OSA 19 immune cels.ConclusionThis study demonstrates thatOSAincreases theriskAF.Meanwhile,itisfoundthatinflammatoryfactors,immunecels,blood metabolites circulating proteins have potential impacts on the pathogenesis AF.
