Abstract:ObjectiveTo compare macular retal thickness characteristics diabetic kidney disease (DKD) patients with diffrent blood presure levelsand explore relationshipbetween blood pressureand macularretaldamage DKD patients.MethodsA total 435 DKD patients were selected and divided to four groupsbased on medical historyand blood pressure:non-hypertensivegroup (NH groupn=1OO),well-controlledblood pressuregroup (GO group, n =176), grade 1 hypertension group (G1 group, n=118 ) and grade 2 hypertension group (G2 group,n=41). General formation,route laboratorytestresultsaswellas averagethickness macularretalnervefiberlayer (RNFL), ganglion cellayer (GCL), ganglioncellcomplex (GCC),choroidal layer(CL)andcentral macularretal thickess (CMT)were compared betweenfour groups.Thecorrelation between macular retal thickness both eyesand clical data was analyzed.Resultsmpared with G1 group and G2 group, GO group had alonger duration hypertension.mpared to NH group, G2 group had higher fastg plasma glucose (FPG). mpared to GO group, G1 groupandG2group hadhigherFPG,andG2grouphadhigher glycated hemoglob (HbAlc)and lower estimated glomerularfiltrationrate (eGFR).mparedto NH group, GO group haddecreased thickness GCL and GCC ( P<0.05 ).The macular retal thickness GCL and GCC both eyes was negatively correlated with diastolic blood pressure( r=-0.158 and -0.195 ,respectively, P<0.05 ).nclusionMacular retal thickness ishelpful assessg long-term efects hypertension on optic nerve and microvascular damage DKD patients.
