Abstract:Inthecontextofthedigitaleconomy,digital transformationofagribusinesseshasbecomeacriticalpathwayfor advancingagricultural modernizationandruralrevitalization.BasedonpaneldatafromA-sharelistedagribusinesses in Shanghaiand Shenzhen between 2O11and 2O23,this study examines the impact of regional culture on digital transformation inagribusinesses.Thefindingsreveal thatthecollctivism-orientedculturalcharacteristicsof southern rice-growing regions significantlypromotedigitaltransformation inagribusineses.Mechanismanalysis demonstrates that ricecultureprovides fertile groundforcultivatingentrepreneurialspirit,therebydriving digital transformationof agribusinesses.Furtheranalysisindicatesthattheimpactofdigitaltransformationinagribusinessesiscontextdependent,withformal institutions,xternalculturalinfluences,andbusinessenvironmentfactorsfurtherreiforcing the facilitatingroleofricecultureinagribusinessesdigital transformation.Additionaly,theinfluenceofricecultureon digitaltransformationpathways inagribusinesses exhibitsheterogeneous efects contingentuponownershipstructure,firm size,and regional digitalizationlevels.
