The Impact Mechanism of Public Data Openness on New Quality Productivity Forces

Abstract:Publicdataopenness represents acrucial initiativeinthenew era,serving asacatalystfordata innovationand accelerating the release of newquality productive forces.This essy examines theinfluence of public data openness on new quality productivityforces byutilizing panel data from 274 prefecture-leveland higher citiesin ,spanningthe years 2012 to 2022,andemployingadiference-in-diferences model.Research findings:publicdataopennesscansignificantly enhancethe developmentof newqualityproductivity forces,aconclusionthatremainsvalid even afterrobustness tests.The resultsofthe moderation effect test indicate thatthebusiness environment playsapositive moderating roleinempowering newquality productivityforces through publicdataopennes.The heterogeneityanalysis reveals thatthe empowermentof newquality productivityforces through publicdataopenness is more pronounced incities withhigheradministrativelevels， withinthe three majorurban agglomerations,and in cities withsubstantial investment in innovative elements.
