Research on the Evaluation of Tea Industry Competitiveness from the Perspective of New Quality Productivity

Abstract: Based on the core framework of new quality productity characterized by "technology-driven development,digital empowerment,and factorupgrading,"this studyconstructed a four-dimensional evaluation system一 "Industrial ScaleandEfficiency Foundation,TechnologyApplicationand Penetration,Innovative Factor Reserve, Market Inovation and Realization"—by modifying the Diamond Model. It applied this system to data from five major tea-producing provinces (Fujian, Zhejiang, Yunnan,Hunan, Hubei) covering the period 2O15—2024.The study used acombination ofExploratoryFactorAnalysis (EFA)and the Entropy Method for combined weighting to conduct an empirical measurement.The findings indicate that from the perspective of newquality productity,the tea ndustry competitiveness of allfive provinces shows a significant upward trend,entering a stage ofcoordinated development quality and efciency.Furthermore,each province has diffrent comparative advantages.Based on these findings,the study proposed strategies such as building a cross-regional colaborative innovation system,implementing diferentiated digital empowerment strategies,and promoting classified enhancements of the industrial base.These measures provided diferentiated pathways for tea-producing regions with varying resource endowments, thereby driving the high-quality development of the tea industry.
