Research Hotspots and Evolution of China Agriculture Research System (CARS-Tea)

Abstract: This study conducted a bibliometric analysis using CiteSpace to visualize Chinese and English literature funded by the China Agriculture Research System (CARS-Tea) from 2009 to 2025.By examining annual publication trends,authorcollaborationnetworks,keywordco-ocurrenceandclustering,andkeywordbursts,itsstematically delineated the developmental trajectory and knowledge structure evolution of innovation research under CARS-Tea funding.The findings have shown an overallupward trend in both the quantity and quality of publications.A sizable research communityhas emerged,along with several localcollaborative subgroups.However,the relatively low densityof theauthor collaboration network suggests that overallresearch coordination could be enhanced.The ten major thematic clusters identified through keyword clustering comprehensively cover the entire tea industry chain.This demonstrates the systematic design of CARS-Tea's innovation research portfolio, which aligns with the broader objectives of the China Agriculture Research System.Furthermore,keyword burst analysis indicates that research hotspots remain closely synchronized with China's NationalAgricultural Scienceand Technology Strategic Planning.This study provided empirical evidence for evaluating the effectiveness of CARS-Tea's research and for optimizing future research directions.It also offered valuable insights for improving the overall framework of the China Agriculture Research System.
