Status and Development Trend of Plastic Film Mulching Technology in China's Tobacco Production

Abstract： The annual planting area of tobacco under plastic film mulching in China exceeds 8000000hm2 ，which plays a crucial role inensurig tobaccoleafproduction.Thispapersynthesizesandanalyzestheapplicationstatusofplasticfimmulchingtechologyin China'stobaccocultivationandpractical experienceinpollutioncontrolandprevention，basedonliteraturereview，field investigations，andresearchactivities.Futuredevelopmentrendsealsoprojected.Afterfourdecadesofevelopentadwiththe shiftsof productionand lifestyle，China hasestablishedacomprehensive plastic film mulchingcultivation system for tobacco. Concurrently，theapplicationsforlabor-saving，wedcontrolandotheragronomicbenefitshavegareredincreasedatention. Traditional plasticflm （PE）mulching remains the primary application method in tobacco leaf productionboth currentlyand fora periodahead.Thereforefurtherscientificandrationalutilzationofplasticfilmmulchingholdssignificantpracticalrelevance.Thus， it is suggestedthatatobaccplasticfilmmulching technologysystemshouldbeestablishedunderthegudanceofgreendevelopment conceptandbasedonafullife-cycleapproachandthetechnological innovationshouldfocuson“reduction，recyclingand substitution”，withthefurter improvedrecyclingandreusesystems.Thiswillfacilitate thesustainedand healthydevelopmentof plastic film mulching technologies in China's tobacco industry.
