Determination of pollen quantity and germination rate of local apricot germplasm resources in Hubei Province

Abstract：To improve the utilization， variety improvement and germplasm innovation of local apricot resources in Hubei Province，taking 20 local apricot germplasm resources in Hubei Province as test materials，the pollen shape was observed，and the pollen diameter，pollen quantity and pollen germination rate were determined.The results showed that the pollen grains of 20 local apricotvarietiesweremainly near-circular and triangular，anda small amount was quadrilateral. The variation range of pollen grain diameter of apricot variety resources was 16.66～31.78μm ，and theaverage diameter was 23.34μm .The variation range of pollen amount was 125.00 grains/anther to 2125.0O grains/anther，with anaverage of 743.75 grains/anther.The pollen amount of Caihe apricot and Zhongxiangwheat apricot was the least，which was 125.0o grains / anther，and the pollen amount of Xilingxia apricot was the most，which was 2125.00 grains/anther.The variation range of pollen germination rate was 2.60%～68.06% ，and the average germination rate was （204号 33.02% .The germination rate of apricot varieties was the lowest （ 2.60% ，and the germination rate of sand apricot varietieswas the highest 68.06% ）：
