The Influence of College Students' Self-concept Clarity on Short-video Addiction: The Mediating Role of Meaning in Life

AbstractObjective: To explore the influence ofself-concept clarity on short-video addiction among colege students and deeply analyze the mediating role of meaning in life between self-conceptclarityand short-video adiction.Method: The self-concept clarity scale, meaning inlife questionnaireand short-video adiction scale were usedto investigate 659 college students in Henan province. Results: ① There were significant correlations between self-concept clarity, meaning in life and short-video addiction in pairs. ② Meaning in life played a partial mediating role in the relationship between self-concept clarityand short-video addiction. Conclusion: Self-concept clarity not only had direct influence on shortvideo addiction, but also had indirectly influence on short-video addiction through meaning in life.
