Abstract： This article focuses on the batch cracking problem of the 42CrMo injector bodies on a certain marine diesel engine.Through comprehensive experiments and simulation analysis，the failure causes are explored.The results show that thecracking mode of the injectorbody is fatigue cracking.The machiningqualityat the position ofthe oil hole fillet R ispoor.Induction quenching makes the hardness at the R position on the high sideand the structure coarse. Stress concentration occurs at the R position during the service process，and fatigue cracking occurs underthe actionofalternatingloads.
