Abstract： ASA508-3-1 material product failed the Drop-Weight test NDTresults manytimes duringthe mechanical test.The Drop-Weight testis aone-time test andretesting is notalowed.In order to find outthefactors that affect the Drop-Weight test NDT results and accurately determine the NDT temperature of the material，a detailed analysis was conductedon theefects of the Drop-Weight test weld length，weld notch width，weld notch bottm height， sample type， and welding heat afected zone.The research results show that appropriately shortening the DropWeighttest weld length or reducing the weld notch width hasa positive effectonreducing the NDT temperatureof the Drop-Weight test; the weld notch bottom height and the Drop-Weight test specimen thickness have no obvious effect onthe Drop-Weight testNDT temperature; the depth of the Drop-Weight test specimen's welding heat affected zone is positively correlated with the Drop-Weight testNDT temperature.
