Abstract: Fick's second law is discretized using the Crank-Nicholson method toanalyze the differential scheme.We have referred to various mathematical models for the mass transfer coefficient β and the carbon diffusion coefficient D 元 A program iswritten in C# to simulate the carburization process,and the results are compared with the actual layerby-layer carbon content to identifythe mathematical modelsuitable for gas carburization of 18CrNiMo7-6 alloy,to guide the prediction of carbon content in new processes.
