Study on Soil Physicochemical Property and Vegetation Restoration Status in the Initial Phase of Artificial Ecological Restoration

Abstract:Arificial substrate interventioncan efectively facilitateecological restoration.Artificial substratewasappledto theroadsidesloeofQingdoHengxingUniversitytocayoutcologicalstorationmingtoexplorethevarationpatesfplant communitydiversityandsoilphysicochemicalpropertyinthearea,andtoprovidetechnicalsupportfordegradedecosystem restoration.Resultsshowedthatafterapplyingartificialsubstraterestorationmeasures,theherblayerinteexperimentalstoation area exhibited significantly higher plant diversity indices [Simpson index (D) and Shannon ⋅- Wienerindex (H)] than the shrub and arborlayers,whichbothhadlowandsimilardiversityvalues.NewherbspeciessuchasArtemisiaannua,Artemisiaargyi, Chenopodiumalbum,ndSetariaviridiswereobservedintheherblayeroftherestoredarea,markedlyenhancingoverallplant diversity.Comparedwiththeuntreatedcontrolarea,soilwatercontent,organicmaterandtotalnitrogenwereincreasedby 211.46% 217.47% and 0.637g/kg ,respectivelyin therestored area,indicating that applying artificial substratecan efectively improveoverall soilfertilityreforartialsubtratebasdologialstotionsubstatiallansoplantomuitydvesityd soil physicochemical property, playing an important role in degraded ecosystem restoration.
