Abstract：To address the issue of how emotional care and financial support affect the life satisfaction of empty-nest elderly in rural Northeast China，this studyuses data from the 2O20 China Longitudinal Aging Social Survey（CLASS）as theresearch sample，and adopts empirical analysis and semi-structured interviews to examine the influencing factors of life satisfaction among empty-nest elderly in this region.The research findings indicate that：children's financial support exertsasignificantly positive effectonthe elderly's life satisfaction；the influence of intergenerational emotional intimacy and the expected level of support on the elderly's life satisfaction is relativelyweak，neitherof which reaches astatisticallysignificant level.The interviewresults are consistent with the findings of the empirical analysis.The conclusions of this study provide a reference for improvingruralelderlycarepoliciesinNortheastChina.
