Abstract  Objective：To develop test of diet treatment compliance evaluation scale for children with methylmalonic acidemia（MMA） and to test its reliability and validity.Methods：The initial version of diet treatment compliance evaluation scale for children with MMA was constructed through literature retrieval，qualitative interviews，expert correspondence and research group discussion based on the mature theory of planned behavior.218 caregivers of children with MMA were selected for investigation at the convenience in the National Association of Patients with Rare Diseases（Home of MMA and propionic acidemia） to analysis Item and to test reliability and validity of the scale from June，2022 to July，2022.Results：The diet treatment compliance evaluation scale for children with MMA included five dimensions（dietary behavior intention，dietary treatment behavior，dietary behavior attitude，subjective norms and dietary perception behavior control） with a total of 17 items.The recovery rate and effectiveness rate of the two rounds of correspondence questionnaires all were 100%.The authority coefficient of experts were 0.896 and 0.882，respectively.Five common factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis， and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 70.179%.The confirmatory factor analysis results showed that the chi⁃square degree of freedom ratio was 1.176，the root mean square residual was 0.040，the comparative goodness of fit index was 0.979，the incremental fit index was 0.980，the Tucker⁃Lewis index was 0.974.The average variance extraction amount of each factor was>0.5.The combined reliability of each factor was>0.7.The correlation coefficient among each factor were from 0.099 to 0.257，which was less than the square root of the corresponding average variance extraction amount.The scale⁃level average content validity index was 0.988，the item⁃level content validity index ranged from 0.833 to 1.000.The coefficient of Cronbach's α was 0.874，and the split⁃half reliability was 0.803.Conclusions：The diet treatment compliance evaluation scale for children with MMA has good reliability and validity，and can be used to evaluate the dietary treatment compliance of children with MMA.
