Gene Editing Technology Development and Its Application in Turfgrass Species

Abstract:Gene editing technologycanrapidly realize precise modification of genes toobtain stable inheritance of excellent traits. With the advancement of science and technology,the research and application of gene editing has expanded to a wider field.This paper provided a brief introduction to the principles of different gene editing technologies,focused on the development and application of CRISPR/Cas technology as wellas the research progress of this technology inthe field of turfgrass,and gave asystematic description of the status ofthe regulatory system of gene edited plants. Finall,the application and development of gene editing technology in turfgrass was discussed.
