Abstract:To solvethe problems of gas storage reservoir block and casing misalignmentin mature oil areas, the open -hole sidetracking technology was proposed. By using the Johnson -Cook material constitutive relationship,a three-dimensional finite element model of P11O steel grade casing and tool cutting was established,andthe influenceof thecuting depthand angleof the toolon thecuting force was analyzed.The researchresultsshowthat the cutting depthhasasignificantinfluence on thecuting force,while the toolangle hasarelativelysmallinfluence.Theoptimalcombinationofcuting parameters is selected as acutting depth of 0.05mm and a tool angle of 60∘ ,at which point the cutting force is the smallest. The research results can guide the actual cutting test during open-hole sidetracking to reduce cutting force and tool wear.
