Abstract: When cond ucting deep-sea tubing string lowering operations in marine environments and directional wells, thereisahigh probabilityof string failure, whichcan lead to failedoil extraction, increased maintenance costs, and environmental problems. Therefore, based on the extreme wave and flow velocity environment that occur once a year in the South China Sea,a simulation model for deep sea tubing strings and directional wells was established using the finite element analysis software Abaqus. The influence of different ship positioning deviations on the mechanical characteristics of the string system was investigated when strings were lowered in open watersand entered the directional well. The results indicatethatif theship is tooclose to the axis of theverticalsectionof thedirectional well,it will cause a sharp increase in the maximum equivalent stress of the string system. In order to ensure the safety of the string lowering process,it is necessary to pause the lowering to release the elastic strain energy of the string system. The research conclusion of this article provides a theoretical basis for ship positioning during the process of lowering deep-sea string systems.
