Abstract：As the theoretical basis and action guide of cultural construction in the new era， Xi Jinping Thought on Culture is vividly characterized by clarifying ti （essence） and achieving yong （application or function），and integrating ti and yong，which highlights the intrinsic compatibility between the Confucian concepts of ti and yong and Xi Jinping Thought on Culture. By connecting the past and the present with "ti and yong" and reflecting on reality， the study explores the core meaning of "ti and yong being of the same origin"，systematically explains the creative transformation of Xi Jinping Thought on Culture in the three dimensions of the framework of "ti and yong"，the dialectical thinking，and the core values，as well as the innovative development from the aspects of the "ti" of noumenon，"ti" of subject and "ti" of theory. This demonstrates the unique value and profound influence of the Confucian concepts of ti and yong in cultural construction in the new era. A deep analysis of the intrinsic logical relationship between the Confucian concepts of ti and yong and Xi Jinping Thought on Culture is conducive to deepening the academic and systematic research on Xi Jinping Thought on Culture and providing innovative theoretical ideas for building China into a country with a thriving socialist culture.
