Design and implementation of online-offline integrated teaching based on problem-based learning and group discussions-a case study of Human Anatomy

Abstract：Objective：To constructa diversified teachingmodel by integratingproblem-based learning（PBL）witha blended onlineand ofline group discusson approach，aiming to explore anew method that can efectively enhance the teaching outcomes of Human Anatomy.Methods：Students of Grade 2023 majoring in general medicine in 2023 were selected as subjects.Classes 2and 3 were assigned as the experimental group，receiving the "PBL + group discussion" blended teaching model，whileClasses1and4servedasthecontrolgroup，following traditional teaching methods.Academic performance and teaching efectiveness evaluations were compared between thetwo groups.Results ： The experimental groupshowed significantly higheroverallassessment soresand final theoretical examinationresults than thosee of the control group，with statistical significance（ P<0.05 ）. Students in the experimental group experienced higher satisfaction with learning interest，learning initiative，and classroom organization. Conclusion： The "PBL + group discussion" blended onlineandofline teaching modelcaneffectivelyimprovestudents'academicperformance，enhancetheirlearning interest， self-directed learning ability，and teamwork skills.
