The application of echocardiography in the follow-up of patients with severe AS after TAVR

Abstract:Echocardiographyisthepreferredimaging modalityforfollw-upinpatientswithsevereaorticstenosis(AS) aftertranscatheteraorticvalvereplacement(TAVR).It playsacritical role inpostoperativeevaluation.This review systematicallysummarizes theappicationofechocardiographyinpost-TAVRmonitoring,withafocusonitsvaluein assessing transcatheter heart valve(THV)function,trackingdynamicchanges in leftandright ventricular function, and identifying postoperativecomplicationsat anearlystage.The findings suggest that echocardiography,through multiparametricandmultiplanaranalysis,providesreliableevidencefordiagnosingTHVdysfunctionandcomplications, therebyoptimizing clinical decision-making.Moreover,theadventof novel techniquessuchas three-dimensional echocardiographyand strain imaging offers new perspectives for improving post-TAVR management.
