Abstract On2December 2020，Xinhuanet reported the passng offormer French President Valéry Giscardd'Estaing. This paperrecals his visit to the Ancient Books Departmentof Zhejiang Library in 2001.On the morming of 25 March， d'Estaing visited the Gushan branchof Zhejiang Libraryaccompanied by his wife，French Ambassdor toChina Pierre Morel，andaninterpreter.Withasimpleandmodest entourage，hetouredthestelecorrdor，ascendedQingbaiMountain Residence to view the Wenlan Ge’sSiku Quanshu，enjoyedthe sceneryof WestLake，signedtheguestbook，andaccepted the giftofSelected Works fromthe Wenlan Ge’sSiku Quanshu from ZhejiangLibrary.Hisvisit leftbehindasetof precious memories at the library.
