Delayed rates of medical consultation among diabetic foot patients：a Meta-analysis

Abstract  Objective：To systematically evaluate the delay in medical consultation among diabetic foot （DF） patients.Methods：Literature on the delay in medical consultation among DF patients were retrieved from PubMed，EMbase，the Cochrane Library，Web of Science，CNKI，WanFang Database，CBM，and VIP database from the establishment of database to July 3，2022. Two reviewers independently screened the literature，extracted data，and evaluated the risk of bias in the included studies. Meta-analysis was performed using Stata 15.0 software.Results：A total of 12 cross-sectional studies were included，including 22 920 DF patients. Meta-analysis results showed that the delay rate of medical consultation among DF patients was 64%，95%CI （52%-75%）. Conclusions：Existing evidence shows that the delay rate of medical treatment among DF patients is relatively high.Limited by the quantity and quality of the studies included，the above conclusion still needs more high-quality studies to verify.
