Study on the Digital Integration of Migrant Elderly With the Individual Information World Theory

AbstractThe migrant elderly are a special disadvantaged group formed by the dual urban-rural structure of our country.Underthebackgroundofaginganddigitalsuperposition，thedigitalintegrationofmigrantelderlyhas become an important practicaltopic relatedto thequalityof lifeand social governanceof migrant elderly.Onthe basis of indepth interviews with22 elderly migrants，this paper uses the theoretical tools of the Individual Information World to reveal theproblemsof migrant elderlydigital integration，such aslack ofcontent，incomplete motivation，arrow boundariesandavicious circle situation from three aspects of individual information world content，motivationand boundary.Tobreak this vicious circle，we need to upholdthe conept of inclusion，build a multi-governance systemof “government gudance，marketinitiative，socialinkage，familysupport，participationoftheelderly”，and work together topromote the digital integrationof the elderly.
